Up to the end of March 2023 I was the managing partner at Beauchamp House Surgery in Chelmsford. This is a SystmOne practice of just over 12,000 patients at one site in the city centre. I was also the Management and Finance Lead of the primary care network - Chelmsford City Health, which is a four-practice PCN with approximately 42,000 patients. I joined the practice in 2013 as practice manager and became managing partner in April 2019. Prior to moving into primary care I worked for an acute trust as operational/general manager, and then moved into project/programme management (the National Programme for IT). These roles provided me with lots of experience around operational and strategic management, business case and project plan development (I am a Prince2 Practitioner), change and stakeholder management, and communications. I have since amassed lots of experience across the remit of practice management. I am now pleased to be working with Essex Equip as Practice Management Lead, alongside my role as a Practice Manager Supporter. I am also available to provide locum PM support to practices.
