Lorna Galforg

I am the Practice Manager at St Luke’s Health Centre in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. I work for Virgin Care overseeing the day to day running of the Practice which has 6500 patients and twenty one staff. I have been in my current role since 2011 and at St Luke’s Health Centre for seventeen years. I have worked my way from Receptionist to Practice Secretary and finally, Practice Manager which I feel has enabled a knowledge of all aspects of the practice. I also work as a consultant with other surgeries where I specialise in finances, CQC compliance and QoF. I have also mentored other managers in Virgin Care. I feel my area of expertise is Finance and QoF, I have also had experience of project managing a large new build in the last year moving from a porta-cabin into a new health centre.
